Professor Luciane Neves Canha was born in Santa Maria, Brazil in 1971.
She received the B.E. degree and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 1994 and 1996 respectively; the D.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from UFSM, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 2004.
Presently Dr. Canha is Professor at Federal University of Santa Maria, PQ 1D Researcher at National Research Council (CNPQ) and IEEE Senior Member.
Dr. Canha has published more than 200 peer reviewed papers, 8 books or chapters. Since 2005 she acts as doctoral and master’s degree advisor at Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering at Federal University of Santa Maria (PPGEE/UFSM). She has twenty four additional years of professional experience beyond graduation in Power and Energy Systems. Her significant performance can be demonstrated by job responsibilities like Leader of Center of Excellence for Energy and Power Systems (CEESP) at UFSM and coordinator of several researches and development projects related to power end energy systems. Her research interests include renewable energy, smart grids, energy storage, energy management, demand response, Electric Vehicles, distributed Energy resources, operation and planning of distribution systems.
Informamos que, devido ao agravamento da situação climática no Rio Grande do Sul, com a ocorrência de enchentes e alagamentos, a 46ª edição do Circuito Nacional do Setor Elétrico (CINASE) – Edição Porto Alegre/RS, que estava programada para ocorrer nos dias 14 e 15 de maio de 2024, precisou ser adiada.
Diante desse cenário, a segurança e o bem-estar de todos e todas são nossa prioridade máxima. Por esse motivo, a nova data prevista para a realização do evento será nos dias 11 e 12 de setembro de 2024, no mesmo local: Centro de Eventos FIERGS.
